Dedicated to the memory of Brenda Norrington

We lost our precious mum on 18th February 2017. We have heard so many lovely stories about this wonderful lady, we thought we would set up this tribute site and invite you to view and share your own memories and photos. There is also a link to donate to Parkinson's UK, who need all the funds they can get to fight this horrible disease.
Thank you for being devoted family and friends, love Sally and Paul.

Thoughts

Mike an I first met Brenda when she and Bert invited us to lunch. This was around the time that Chris and Paul got engaged, so quite a long time ago. I remember thinking afterwards that Chris was lucky in that she was going to have such lovely in-laws! This certainly proved to be the case. Brenda was a kind and thoughtful person, generous of spirit and it was always a pleasure to spend time with her. Of course her illness changed the things she was able to do, but it didn't change the essential Brenda. She remained kind, thoughtful, generous and always interested in what was happening in the lives of her family and friends. The patient and brave way in which she coped with her illness should be an inspiration to all of us. Mike and I will always remember Brenda with much love and admiration Jane and Mike

Nanna was so special to all of us. She listened to whatever you had to say, she was somebody you could always share laughs with, and yet somebody you could always get stuff off your chest to. She was there when particularly I think Sophie and I needed her the most; having sadly lost Dad's mum, Elizabeth, long before we were born, and then the unfortunate and untimely deaths of Grandad (Bert) and Granda (Gordon) in a relatively short space of time between one another, she was our shoulder to lean on and was there for us both in the years following, despite her physical difficulties. We will cherish the memories we had with her forever as we, as everybody, loves her loads and will always be with us. Daniel

Brenda was a very special lady who I found so easy to get on with. She was kind, caring and great fun. She always took an interest in other people and their lives and never dwelled on her illness and how it affected her life. We as a family remember one Christmas not so long ago playing fun games with Brenda at Paul and Chris's house until well after midnight. Brenda was having so much fun she didn't want the evening to end! She was indeed a very brave, courageous lady who will be sadly missed by the four of us! With love, Helen, Russell, Will and Oliver.
